Counterpart International, funded by USAID is seeking proposals for “Afghan Civic Education Program (ACEP) – Provision of Legal Services”.
The goal of ACEP is to promote civil society and media engagement that enables Afghan citizen to influence policy, monitor government accountability, and serve as advocates for political reform.
The Afghan Civic Engagement Program (ACEP) is a five-year program (two years is left from the project), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Counterpart International (CPI), in partnership with Internews, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and International Centre for Non-profit Law (ICNL).
Program Areas
- Regular Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Engagement with Government;
- Increased CSO and Media Thematic Expertise in Democracy and Governance;
- Expanded Civic Engagement;
- Improved Access to Independent News and Public Affairs Information, and
- Increased CSO Organizational Capacity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Counterpart will issue an award to one company/organization.
- The award will be in the form of a legal services firm fixed unit contract. Only legal firms who are currently licensed to practice law in Afghanistan and maintain an office in Kabul, or law firms including such attorneys, may respond to this RFP.
- The successful Offeror shall be required to adhere to the statement of work and terms and conditions of the RFP.
