If you are in the County Durham area and you are thinking about starting up in business or have started in the last 12 months, then apply for the Durham Ambitious Business Start-Ups (DABS) Start-Up Grant program.
The DABS Programme can offer eligible businesses expert-led workshops, group sessions, monthly networking events and one-to-one support and mentoring. Since the launch of the programme in early 2020, they have helped hundreds of people through the early stages of running a business.

Eligibility Criteria
- Grant is for new goods of between £2,500 and £12,500 – (you can apply for more, but the maximum grant payout is £5,000).
- The grant intervention is 40% of invoiced costs.
- Only available to those participating in the DABS programme.
- Your business must be based in County Durham.
- Your business must be less than 12 months from registration.
