The County Durham Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for its Darlington Building Society 5% Pledge Fund to provide grants of up to £15,000 to support charities, voluntary-led organisations and projects that have an impact in their community, enabling them to continue their work and make vital improvements to their service.

- voluntary-led organisations with charitable aims,
- registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations (CIO,)
- social enterprises,
- community interest companies (CIC),
- companies limited by guarantee that have charitable aims
Funding Information
- Amount: Up to £15,000.
What type of funding can you apply for?
- Examples of the types of projects and activities they will support but they will consider funding any activities that have clear community benefits and that meet the general criteria:
- capital items, equipment (except vehicles or minibuses) for use in projects,
- coaching or training activity,
- project costs,
- sessional costs
- a contribution to core costs (including staff wages) where the income of the organisation is less than £100,000 per year
- capacity building activities,
- transport costs,
- repair costs,
- IT equipment limited to maximum £1,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- There are no limits to the size of organisation that can apply, however priority will go to those organisations that can evidence that they can deliver significant impact locally. Geographically, the fund covers County Durham, Tees Valley, Darlington, Teesside, County Durham, Sunderland and parts of North Yorkshire. Postcode areas – DH, DL, SR, TS, HG, YO
