The Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking applications for its Malaria Operations Research to Improve Malaria Control and Reduce Morbidity and Mortality in Western Kenya to assist with the implementation of malaria focused operations research, surveillance, and monitoring and evaluation activities, in Kenya.

Through this funding announcement, the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria seeks to fund critical operations research and evaluation activities with the potential to yield high impact public health findings and to improve strategies that will decrease the overall burden of malaria and increase the health and well-being of affected populations in Kenya.

Target Population should include people living or working in epidemiological defined areas of malaria transmission in Kenya. Sub-population target groups within these malaria transmission zones should include those most at-risk e.g. children under five years of age and pregnant women.
