Through the Direct Aid Program (DAP) , the Australian Embassy supports initiatives of non-governmental organizations in Argentina and Paraguay that seek to reduce poverty and promote development in the region.

The projects presented must set out specific objectives that are aimed at influencing some of the development areas defined for the current call. The structure of the project should promote the active participation of the beneficiaries and self-sustainability. The proposed activities must be clearly defined and must be consistent with the proposed objectives. The project must specify the expected results.
Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of their particular merits, in accordance with the general objectives of the DAP in each country.

The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is part of the Government of Australia’s global development assistance program. The DAP is a flexible small grant program applied to Australian diplomatic missions, funding projects in more than 80 countries. The DAP was created with the purpose of providing Australian missions in the world with a flexible mechanism to assist activities that aim at sustainable development.
