The Embassy of the Czech Republic has launched its annual call for proposals for the Small Local Transition Projects (SLTP) directly managed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh.
Qualifying Projects
The projects can focus on various sectors:
- support for civil society, including human rights defenders;
- promoting freedom of expression and access to information, including media freedom;
- promoting equal and broadest political and public participation;
- support for the building of the rule of law institutions;
- promoting equality and non-discrimination;
- promoting human rights in employment and environmental issues.
The project shall be realized by local non-governmental subjects (it ought not to become part-contribution to a large donor project(s).
Funding Information
Funding provided by the Czech Republic for each project ranges between 200 000 CZK (approx. 8 000 USD) to maximum limit 500 000 CZK (approx. 20 000 USD). Co-funding from the applicant or other sources is welcome. Overhead costs are to be borne by the applicant.
Eligibility Criteria
Only Organizations that can demonstrate their independent legal status in Cambodia can submit SLTP proposal(s):
- local non-governmental, community and not-for-profit organizations,
- local academic and municipal institutions working on local projects.
How to Apply
All proposals should be delivered in paper and in electronic form (scanned with stamp and signature, plus the original completed identification form – excel format) at the address given on the website.
