The Embassy of Australia in Argentina is seeking applications for its Direct Aid Program (DAP) to alleviate poverty and promote economic and social development in Argentina and Paraguay while meeting Australia’s international objectives. Special attention is given to the needs of minority groups, women and children.
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is part of the overall Australian Government development assistance program. DAP is a flexible small grant program that is implemented in 66 Australian diplomatic missions, funding projects in more than 80 countries. The DAP was created to provide Australian missions around the world with a flexible mechanism to assist activities that aim at sustainable development.
Funding Information
- The average grant awarded per project for this call is a maximum of AUD 50,000 (Australian dollars) per project.
- The activities proposed in the project must be carried out within a maximum period of 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria
- Projects must be submitted by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or non-profit civil associations in Argentina and Paraguay engaged in development activities. The proof of enrollment must be submitted as such.
- Assistance will not be provided to individuals, or to government agencies.
- The projects presented must present specific objectives that are aimed at influencing some of the areas of development defined for the current call. The structure of the project should promote the active participation of beneficiaries and self-sustainability. The proposed activities should be clearly defined and should be consistent with the stated objectives. The project must specify the expected results.
- Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of their particular merits, in accordance with the overall objectives of the DAP in each country.
