Embassy of Czech Republic announces CFPs for Transition Small Scale Projects (Albania)

The Embassy of the Czech Republic announces a new call for proposals for Transition Small Scale projects for 2021 in Albania.

Focus Areas

Project proposals should focus on the following topics according to the Human Rights and Transition Promotion Policy Concept of the Czech Republic:

• Civil society – support of civil society including human rights defenders;
• Support of freedom of speech, access to information, independence of the media;
• Promotion of an equal and full political and public participation of citizens in the public decision-making process at all levels (local, regional, national);
• Support of institution-building in the area of the rule of law;
• Promotion  of equality and non-discrimination;
• Promotion of human rights in employment and in the environmental context.

Funding Information

• Czech financial contribution to the project is 200,000 CZK – 500,000 CZK.

Eligibility Criteria

• Proposals may be submitted to the Embassy only by a non-state local entity (Implementer of the Project) with legal status/registration in Albania.

Submission terms:

• Proposals may be submitted to the Embassy only by a non-state local entity (Implementer of the Project) with legal status/registration in Albania. A copy of the document attesting the Implementer’s legal status/registration together with a document certifying that the authorized person is entitled to act on behalf of the Implementer in Albania must be attached.
• Only one Proposal from the same Implementer may be submitted.
• The proposal must be submitted on the Identification form in Czech or English language. The identification form must be duly completed in all parts and signed by an authorized person.

Implementation period

• February/March 2021 (after signing the contract) until 31 October 2021 (the project must be financially closed by the end of October 2021).

Evaluation Criteria

• The capacity of the applicant, feasibility, and quality of the proposal, the sustainability of project results, and compliance with the Human Rights and Transition Promotion Policy Concept of the Czech Republic.
• The attached Identification form shall be delivered both in hard copy (in a sealed envelope and marked “ Transition Small Scale Project Identification Form 2021”)  to the Embassy of the Czech Republic, and per email by October 14, 2020, 15:00 hrs.
