The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the proposals to Implement transversal capacity workshops among all groups involved in waste management, including carrying out awareness campaigns in local communities.
Objectives
- Identify the main actors involved (50 individuals; 60% women and young people) (city council, ministry of the interior, ministry of the environment, ministry of health, etc.) in waste management and train them on good practices.
- Identify the personnel (40 individuals; 60% women and young people) who are dedicated to the collection/handling of waste and train them on the proper handling of waste by category, including the importance of the use of protective equipment.
- Carry out awareness campaigns in some local communities (60% women and young).
Funding Information
As indicated in the TOR, the amounts of the proposals must not exceed a maximum of 56,000 US dollars. The amount requested in the proposal must be proportional to the administrative and financial management capacity of the organization. The execution of the project must not exceed 56 days in duration.

- Work plan and schedule of the consultancy
- Draft of the training modules and the content of the awareness campaigns
- Technical report on the training of the main actors involved.
- Technical report on the training of personnel dedicated to waste collection

Eligibility Criteria
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that:
- The applicant is a registered NGO in operation for at least one year;
- The applicant has a Chief of Mission with demonstrated and proven experience in the development of curricula in the area of environmental sciences, training and the implementation of awareness campaigns; What’s more, you also have at least a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.
- The applicant acts in at least one area of the national territory of Equatorial Guinea
- Applicant is not listed on the United Nations Consolidated Sanctions List
- The applicant is being investigated for fraud, corruption, sexual abuse, exploitation or other crime
- The applicant is not a government entity, a United Nations organization, or a NGO established to be involved as a partner in the project
- The applicant has sufficient capacity to collaborate with various stakeholders;
- The applicant has sufficient financial management, including adequate financial policies and procedures in place to manage the small grant.
