The Groundwork is accepting applications for its ESFA Community Training Grants: London North And East to support people who are unemployed or economically inactive, move closer towards employment, education or training.
They fund a range of innovative projects which help prepare participants for work by providing opportunities to learn and upskill in anything from industry-specific training to developing soft-skills. Participants must be over 16 years or age and eligible to work in the UK.
Funding Information
- Community Training grants between £5,000 and £20,000 are available for projects
- London North & East – £1282.42
What can I apply for?
The range of costs and activities covered by the Community Training Grants is very wide. However this funding is for revenue, no capital costs can be funded. The basic rule is that it should move people closer to employment or training.
Eligible Areas
London North & East areas of the LEAP includes the following boroughs:
- Barking & Dagenham
- Bexley
- Bromley
- Enfield
- Greenwich
- Havering
- Newham
- Redbridge
- Waltham Forest
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be either third sector organisations or small organisations (less than 49 employees).
- Your organisation must have an annual turnover of less than €10 million Euros, please see currency convertor.
- Participants must be over 16 years of age and eligible to work in the UK.
- Proposed projects must work with people who are unemployed or economically inactive, over 16 and eligible to work in the United Kingdom. The ESFA has also highlighted four priority groups that it wishes to engage with:
- Participants over 50 years of age;
- Participants with disabilities;
- Participants from Ethnic Minorities; and
- Participants who are women.
