EU-GCCA+ Flagship Initiative: Supporting Climate Smart Agriculture for Smallholders in Republic of Mauritius

The European Union (EU) is currently accepting proposals from eligible organisations for its GCCA+ flagship initiative “Supporting Climate Smart Agriculture for smallholders in the Republic of Mauritius” to increase the resilience to climate change of small holders in the Republic of Mauritius, thereby contributing to sustainable livelihoods.

The objective of this call for proposals is to increase the capacity of vulnerable non-sugar small holders as well as other key stakeholders towards developing and sustaining climate smart agriculture in the Republic of Mauritius.

The interventions to be supported under this component of the programme shall comprise of small and large -scale local development activities to improve productivity of smallholders, adaptation to climate change thereby reducing the exposure of farmers to risks, or contribute to climate mitigation.

Size of Grants

Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between EUR 300,000. And EUR 1,000,000.

Eligible Countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK, Mauritius.
