The European Commission in the UK is seeking proposals from young people, educational and non-governmental organisations as well as local authorities working closely with youth to promote the Erasmus+ programme in the UK through a wide range of communication activities.
The main aim of this call is to engage British youth with the European Union and Europe through increased participation in the Erasmus+ programme.
Key Objectives
- Raise awareness on the Erasmus+ Programme.
- Encourage Erasmus+ applications from the United Kingdom especially in the areas described below.
- Develop skills and resources that help applications materialise.
Funding Information
- The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects is estimated at €300.000.
- Only project proposals in a range between €10.000 and €60.000 euros will be considered.
- The grant will co-finance a maximum of 80% of the total eligible costs. Applicants will have to provide own resources to cover all remaining costs.
- The Commission expects to fund between 5-20 proposals.
- The Commission reserves the right not to distribute all the funds available.
Priority Areas
- Vocational training: Apprentices and students in vocational education training schools can go abroad to carry out a vocational training placement in another country.
- Volunteering abroad: Young people living in the UK can take part in volunteering opportunities, lasting from 2 weeks to 12 months, through the European Voluntary Service (EVS).
- Youth exchanges: Groups of young people can organise a youth exchange with other young people from one or more EU country lasting 5 to 21 days.
- Teaching and training abroad for teachers: Staff at schools, institutions that hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, vocational education and training and adult education organisations can teach or train at another partner school, institution or organisation in Europe as part of a Key Action 1 mobility project.
- Working abroad: Students in both higher education and vocational education and training can benefit from the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ to gain work experience in another country.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal entities coming from Civil Society Organisations registered in an EU Member with at least two years of experience in the domain of the proposed project are eligible to apply.
- Natural persons are not eligible.
- Single entity or an affiliated entity.
- Legal person or an entity which does not have legal personality.
- Registered in one of the EU Member States.
