The Evesham Town Council is pleased to announce applications for Festival Grant scheme to allocate a sum of money to local festivals & events, to support them in meeting the costs of running the occasion.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Grant is open to non-profit or charitable festivals and event organisations; it is not suitable for commercial enterprises.
- The Council would like to support festivals and events in Evesham, that benefit the local community. All events/festivals and their applications must therefore:
- Fall within the Evesham boundaries.
- Be for non-profit or charitable purposes
- Be financially, physically and logistically accessible to the general public
- Be inclusive and attractive to a diverse or broad range of audiences
- Contribute to the well-being of Evesham residents
- Be delivered to a high standard, providing value for money
- Demonstrate the involvement of volunteers and members of the community in their activities
- Demonstrate the need for Grant funding. The Council will consider granting funding for a broad range of purposes including (but not limited to) running costs and, in same cases, capital expenditure. This may include:
- Insurance
- Licenses
- Staff training
- Volunteer expenses
- Safety equipment
- Waste facilities & post-event clean up
Ineligibility Criteria
- Grants will NOT be awarded to festivals/events or applications that:
- Rely on Evesham Town Council as the sole source of funding
- Promote religious or political beliefs
- Benefit an individual, singular community or small group
- Would use the grant for food expenses (with the exception of volunteer expenses)
- Advanced and/or expensive equipment without clear demonstration of its necessity.
- Has an excessive entrance fee that creates a significant barrier to attendance
- Show, or have shown, improper conduct both general and financial.
