The FAO FLEGT Programme is now accepting concept notes from government institutions, civil society and private sector organizations with an aim to encourage sustainable management of forests.

The FLEGT Action Plan focuses on governance reforms and capacity building to ensure that timber exported to the European Union (EU) comes only from legal sources.

Eligibility Criteria

The FAO FLEGT Programme is now accepting concept notes from government institutions, civil society and private sector organizations in countries engaged in VPAs with the EU (mentioned below) are eligible to apply for the programme.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their Concept notes in English, French or Spanish electronically through the given website.

Eligible Countries

Africa: Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Liberia, Republic of the Congo.

Asia: Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam.

Americas: Guyana, Honduras.
