The Reclamation’s Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin (LCB), Yuma Area Office (YAO) is requesting proposals to fund projects for activities in support of their Endangered Species and Environmental Restoration programs.
Priorities
FWCAP supports Reclamation’s and stakeholders’ priorities, including:
- Increase water supplies, storage, and reliability under the WIIN Act (Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation) and other authorities to benefit farms, families, businesses, and fish and wildlife.
- Streamline regulatory processes and remove unnecessary burdens to provide more water and power supply reliability.
- Leverage science and technology to improve water supply reliability to communities.
- Address ongoing drought.
- Improve the value of hydropower to Reclamation power customers.
- Improve water supplies for tribal and rural communities.
- Promote title transfer opportunities.
