Go Cycle Glasgow Fund in the UK

Go Cycle Glasgow Fund is now open for applications to support community groups across Glasgow to develop accessible and sustainable cycling projects using the power of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.

Organisations can apply for between £1,000 and £10,000 to support the development of cycling projects that bring communities together and tackle inequalities by reducing the barriers to participation. The fund is available to groups looking to expand their existing provision to new audiences or to develop new, exciting opportunities to get more people cycling.

Go Cycle Glasgow will provide support to projects from across the city. The fund will be delivered in partnership with Clyde Gateway as well as the Smarter Choices, Smarter Places meaning Glasgow Life has some additional support available for specific projects.

Priorities

Priority will be given to projects working with young people, people with disabilities, lowincome families, women and ethnic minority groups.

Glasgow Life wants to work with any glasgow based clubs and organisations that understands their local community and wants to develop cycling opportunities to encourage more people to get on a bike. some examples of the organisations they want to work with:

Ineligible

Unfortunately, Glasgow Life is unable to accept applications from individuals, sole traders, unconstituted groups, ngbs, organisations established to make profit or organisations based outside the city of glasgow boundary. Glasgow Life would encourage any of these types of organisations to work in partnership with an eligible organisation to access the fund.
