Goethe Institute seeking Entries for Gender Bender 2020 – India

Hilo Preservation Grant Program (US)

Deadline: 15-Sep-20

Entries are now open for Gender Bender 2020 which is a joint project of the Goethe-Institute / Max Mueller Bhavan and Sandbox Collective. Gender Bender is conceived, conceptualised, and curated by Sandbox Collective.

Gender Bender is the first festival of its kind in India that showcases new works of art around gender, as concept, discourse, construct, and as art itself, creating a space for gender with artists and audiences alike. The festival aims to contribute to the ever-evolving understanding of gender and its implications, to help produce works that re-examine and re-imagine the concept.

Selected projects will be presented in Bangalore between December 3 and 6, 2020. While it is their intention to conduct the festival as planned, there could be unforeseen changes as a consequence of the COVID-19 crisis. The selected grantees and the general public will be updated as and when required, in case of any changes in the project timelines or format.
