Deadline: 21-Jul-23
The British Council is inviting a suitably qualified UK further education college or training organisation to collaborate in an international partnership with peers in Mozambique.
The call for proposals is part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme which builds stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems by supporting partnerships between universities, colleges, education policy makers, civil society organisations and industry partners around the world.
Funding Information
- Successful applicants will be eligible for £30 000 of grant funding to support partnership activities (international travel, staff time, development of materials, etc).
- The project will run for a duration of 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-based further education college or training organisation looking to build a network and capacity to work internationally.
- The selected UK college will work with three partner colleges and the State Secretariat for Professional Education (SEETP) in Maputo, Mozambique, to embed soft skills delivery into a sector-specific vocational training programme. Sectors of interest for this collaboration include agriculture, tourism and hospitality, and industrial maintenance (electrical installation, welding, mechanical maintenance) based on the interest and specialism of the UK college.
- The UK college will be supported by a local consultant who will assist with interpretation and translation, as well as with coordination of activities of three partner colleges in Mozambique. The British Council teams in the UK and in Mozambique will provide ongoing advice and guidance throughout the partnership to help facilitate communication and deliver maximum benefit.
