UNDP announces a grant program for the development of the Network of Working Groups for Public Safety and Recovery in partner communities of Poltava, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv Regions.

This competition was announced for the purpose of selecting a public organization and is aimed at uniting the efforts of the public, representatives of state authorities and local self-government to mobilize communities for recovery and development, identify, discuss and find ways to solve problems and eliminate factors (within the influence of the community), which negatively affect the state of public security and social cohesion.

For this purpose, UNDP practices the use of the public security and social cohesion approach , which provides for the creation and functioning of Working Groups on Public Security and Reconstruction (until February 24, 2022 – Working Groups on Public Security and Social Cohesion) (hereinafter – working groups) – open dialogue platforms uniting active residents of the community, public organizations, representatives of local authorities and self-government, police and law enforcement agencies, social services, and other interested parties. Local leaders/coordinators in each of the target communities carry out coordination of the activities of the working groups, as well as constant communication with the Program’s community mobilization specialists.

The purpose of this competition is also to find active, motivated, experienced and powerful organizations capable of initiating and supporting the activities of the Working Group Network by applying the UNDP approach in the target communities of Poltava, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions. One partner organization will be selected in each of the regions.
