Grants for Enhancing Public Health Surveillance of Autism Spectrum Disorder (US)

Deadline: 9-Sep-22

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has announced the applications for Enhancing Public Health Surveillance of Autism Spectrum Disorder through the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.

The goal of ADDM is to provide estimates of the prevalence and characteristics of children with ASD, monitor disparities by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status, provide data to inform planning for resource and service needs, and foster activities to increase ASD awareness and reduce barriers to ASD identification.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to develop and enhance the capacity of programs to implement a population-based, multiple-source surveillance program for autism spectrum disorder. This program will monitor the number and characteristics of children with ASD, and describe health and service needs of adolescents with ASD. These data can be used to monitor disparities by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status, and provide data to inform planning for resource and service needs.
