The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan announces a procedure for the acceptance and selection of proposals for projects to be implemented with a grant through the Official Development Assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria with an initial implementation period in 2023.
Objectives
- Taking actions to combat climate change and its impact;
- Taking actions to promote renewable energy solutions;
- Conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal ecosystems;
- Preservation, restoration and promotion of sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems;
- Taking actions to combat desertification and land degradation;
- taking actions to halt biodiversity loss;
- Ensuring sustainable water and waste management;
- Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns;
- Building climate-smart livelihoods and creating green jobs
Priority Areas
- Protecting the environment and combating climate change;
- Sustainable economic development and support for sustainable employment.
Funding Information
- Minimum amount of the project is 5,000 BGN.
- Maximum amount of the project is:
- for projects with main purpose to deliver goods and /or services – up to 30,000 BGN;
- for projects with main purpose to carry out repairs and /or construction activities – up to 30,000 BGN.
- Co-financing of project activities provided by the applicant will be considered an advantage in the evaluation, selection and approval of the projects.
Duration
- Project proposals must contain an indicative start date for the implementation of the project after March 1, 2023 and no later than November 30, 2023.
- Projects must be completed no later than December 31, 2025.
Eligible Activities
- Awareness raising trainings related to sustainable management of marine and coastal resources;
- Cleaning and afforestation campaigns to promote sustainable use of the environment among youth and reduce environmental pollution;
- Innovative solution for harvesting rainwater;
- Green business solutions to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns;
- Use of Jordan’s natural resources for the production of medical and cosmetic products.
Target Groups:
- Young people;
- Women and disadvantaged children;
- Vulnerable social groups;
- Local population in towns and villages;
- Educational institutions – schools;
- Non-governmental organizations contributing to the realization of the priorities and the achievement of the goals of the Bulgar ian “Official Development Assistance”.
Eligibility Criteria
- Primary and secondary budget beneficiaries – legal entities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
- International and local nongovernmental organizations;
- Municipalities and their associations;
- Educational, health and social institutions;
- International humanitarian organizations.
