Harnessing Youth Action for Social Cohesion: A Skills-Building and Grants Programme

Deadline: 31-Jul-22

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) New Delhi Cluster Office, along with its network of partners, is launching a new skills-building and grants programme for community actors working with youth, with a focus on introducing new methodologies for strengthening social cohesion in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Through a series of eight 2-hour expert workshops, the programme will initially train its participants in evidence-informed actions and interventions focused on various aspects of strengthening social cohesion, including education, media, sports and arts-based approaches.

After the training series, small grants will be available for programme participants who demonstrate promising and effective community-led interventions that seek to build inclusion and resilience among youth.
