ICNL inviting Applications to support Civil Society in Tanzania and Uganda

Grant Opportunity: Supporting Efforts to Secure Justice for Sri Lanka

The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) is pleased to invite applications from local consultants in Tanzania and Uganda for research grants under ICNL’s program on promoting freedom of expression, rule of law and access to justice.

ICNL is seeking consultants to carry out research to evaluate the role and impact of public interest litigation (PIL) and the organizations that engage in PIL in Uganda and Tanzania, particularly in the context of building a more enabling environment for civil society in those two countries.

The research will be used to prepare a report that will inform a national, regional, and international audience of policy and lawmakers, civil society, and the public at large about the value of PIL and the place of law-based organizations in achieving the goals of PIL.
