IDRC Call for EOIs: Strengthening Capacity for Climate Action in Indonesia

International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Oak Foundation have co-designed the Think Climate Platform to strengthen the capacities of local think tanks in Indonesia that are grounded in their local contexts and politics and provide local solutions to tackle the impacts of climate change in the country.

This program is an opportunity to help address the limited institutional capacity and knowledge gaps that continue to exist in Indonesia, develop, implement and monitor implementation evidence-informed climate policies and help build change coalitions.

Selected think tanks will be eligible to receive up to CAD $300,000 each.

Expected Outcomes

Strengthened capacity of think tanks to generate and disseminate locally relevant and evidence-based research will help inform the development of policy and regulatory frameworks for climate mitigation and adaptation. As well, enhanced linkages across research, government, civil society and private sector actors will help promote dialogue and forward momentum on evidence-to-action processes for climate action.

Eligibility Criteria

This call is open to local, independent policy research organizations, or think tanks, that undertake cross-cutting policy and action research on climate mitigation and climate adaption solutions to tackle climate change challenges in Indonesia. To be considered, candidates must:
