Deadline: 26 Sept 2022
The Supporting Act Foundation is seeking application for its Impact Grant to Empower underfunded grassroots organizations who seek social, intersectional, or environmental justice—particularly for people from marginalized backgrounds.
The Supporting Act Foundation provides 6 unrestricted two-year grants of €25,000 for underfunded grassroots arts organizations that have a community-driven approach to topics related to social, intersectional, and/or environmental justice or offer any kind of support to emerging artists from underrepresented or marginalized groups.
This first pilot grant is only available for nonprofits registered in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France and Italy.
The goal of this grant is to help organizations reach wider communities by covering operational costs and offering non-financial guidance and support.
This grant program is built on the recommendations that emerged from extensive research on the challenges that emerging artists are facing in Europe and alternative philanthropic approaches, where the foundation learned that reducing the financial uncertainty of artist-led organizations is a key factor for long-term and systemic change. It is also a way of creating conditions for a political, cultural and economic power shift while helping to build stronger communities and having a positive impact across the creative ecosystem.
