The World Food Program is accepting applications for Implementation of the Community of Practice On Financial Access for Disaster Risk Management in the Andean Countries.
The World Food Program – PMA in Peru, through its country strategic plan (CSP 2023-2026), establishes in its strategic objective SO1 that the populations affected by the crisis in Peru can satisfy their basic needs for food and nutrition before and during crises and disasters of multiple fronts and in Peru, the focus is on the need to strengthen the incorporation of risk management in public and private investment and incorporate specific services in the National Disaster Risk Management Plan 2022-2030 (PLANAGERD) to reduce vulnerability to disasters and improve population resilience.

Expected Results
- Mapping of focal points and participants from government entities in the Andean Community countries to operationalize the Community of Practice.
- Support in editing and organizing input on experiences, projects, good practices, lessons learned, etc., on financial mechanisms for disaster risk management that have been promoted and implemented in the Andean Community countries.
- Management of one (0) digital platform for participant access (manual for managing different profiles) and a digital repository of technical materials, updated and accessible to participants.
- Seven (07) hybrid forums with the Community of Practice on access to financial mechanisms for disaster risk management in the Andean countries.
- Two (02) discussion and exchange channels among participants (X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, others) and management of ongoing communication. Additionally, 120 social media post (two per week).
- Coordination between communication networks related to the risk management entities participating in the Community of Practice.
- Final systematization of the implementation process.
