International Day of People with Disability Grants Program (Australia)

Deadline: 26-Sep-22

The ACT Government is pleased to announce the opportunity for individuals and community organisations to apply for financial support, in the form of a once-only grant to assist in a program or event for the International Day of People with Disability (I-Day) in 2022.

I-Day is held on 3 December each year. It is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote awareness and understanding of disability issues and encourage support for the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disability.

I-Day also seeks to increase awareness of the benefits of inclusion of people with disability in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

I-Day aims to bring together people with disability, community organisations, businesses, individuals and all levels of government. I-Day unites people in the celebration and acknowledgement of the contributions, skills and achievements of people with disability.
