Jersey Sport announces COVID-19 Recover and Reinvent Fund – UK

UNDP: Innovation Challenge in Response to COVID-19 (Gabon)

Deadline: 10-May-21

Applications are now open for the COVID 19 Recover and Reinvent Fund to help local sport recover and provide both strategic and operational support to help get their clubs and participants back on their feet.

They want to enable sport and physical activity to continue positively impacting the physical and mental health of islanders and they look forward to a brighter future.

The COVID-19 Recover and Reinvent grant aims to support Jersey sporting organisations, whose operations and activities have been adversely impacted by the impact of COVID-19.

The grant is to be allocated to sporting organisations that are not-for-profit only. Sports businesses are to be supported through other Government schemes.

The intention of this grant is not to replace or supplement ‘non-essential’ income which has been lost due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19.

It is intended to support sporting organisations which have lost vital income that is essential to ensure they are able to meet their ongoing obligations and exist as an organisation, for example, those facing a loss of income as a result of non-payment of membership fees by members who are not able to undertake their sport, where the income does not cover the associated essential expenditure of the organisation.

The grant also seeks to support sporting organisations to reinvent delivery of their sport, drive new engagement with participants and/or help the club become more sustainable in light of the impact COVID has had on sport.
