Land Acquisition Fund to Secure, Connect & Efficiently Protect Habitat of Endangered Species

The International Union for Conservation of Nature Netherlands (IUCN NL) has announced the Land Acquisition Fund (LAF) for local NGOs to acquire (through purchase or lease) threatened nature, create safe reserves and connect wildlife habitats for endangered species. The IUCN NL Land Acquisition Fund is supported by the Dutch Postcode Lottery.

The general objective of a proposed project must contribute to the main objective ofthe LAF, which is to enable strong local conservation NGO to secure, connect and efficiently protect habitat of Red List species.

Please note that, the LAF also supports projects in which conservation NGOs acquire the long term management rights of an area without actual transfer of ownership title(s). By this they mean long term leases or conservation agreements.
