With the aim to promote human rights around the globe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic opened a call for proposals for local transformation projects to be implemented worldwide, including in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
Categories
Under its Strategy to protect and promote human rights in the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic invites interested organizations to present their proposals within the following broad categories:
- support of freedom of speech, access to information, and media freedom
- support of equal and broadest possible political and public participation
- support of rule of law
- support of equality and non-discrimination
- support of employee rights and environmental rights
Funding Information
- Czech financial contribution for the project is between 250,000 – 500,000 CZK (approximately 10 800 to 21 700 USD at the current exchange rate).
- The project has to be implemented between February and October 2021.
Criteria
- Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental entities only.
Application Process
- The application needs to be accompanied by proof of legal standing of the organization (proof or registration) and proof that the applying person is eligible to act on behalf of the organization (i.e. authorization letter).
