The Marion Community Foundation has announced the 2020 Community Grants Program to award charitable dollars to nonprofit serving the Marion area.
Approximately 20 endowed funds – field of interest, unrestricted and donor advised funds – support the program with their annual fund distributions. They are grateful to their donors who support the Marion community and make this annual grants program possible.

Eligibility Criteria
- Marion Community Foundation makes grants to tax-exempt 501(c)3 organizations or the equivalent supporting the Marion (Ohio) area. This determination is defined by an IRS tax determination status. Applicants must provide proof of this status.
- The Foundation cannot make grants to individuals, for-profit organizations, or others not meeting the tax-exempt status. If you are not a 501(c)3 but have a grant idea, they encourage you to consider collaborations, community relationships, or sponsoring organizations. Call the Foundation if you would like to discuss further.
- Generally, the Marion Community Foundation does not support:
- membership or annual drives,
- community services such as police, fire protection, EMS, water and sanitation, maintenance,
- standard school sponsored programs, or
- standard event sponsorships.
