Medical Research Foundation Grant Program for Researchers in Sub-Saharan Africa

Deadline: 30-Nov-22

Applications are welcomed from mid-career researchers in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) who are making the transition to research independence and wish to develop collaborations with researchers based at a UK research organisation.

The Medical Research Foundation are delighted to be funding collaboration travel grants for epidemiology researchers in sub-Saharan Africa.

Researchers should aim to advance their epidemiological skills, develop or advance collaborations and networks, share expertise, or undertake a short project which could not be completed at their employing organisation in SSA. The proposed work should complement the applicant’s current or planned research but represent a clear and distinct development.

The Medical Research Foundation is an independent charitable foundation. Formed by the Medical Research Council (MRC), they grow and nurture people and ideas wherever they see research opportunities with great potential. The research supported in this competition is possible thanks to a generous donation by Professor Thomas Meade.
