Nesta is currently inviting potential applicants to submit expressions of interest for its ShareLab Fund to grow evidence and understanding of how collaborative digital platforms can deliver social impact.
Priority Areas
Nesta’s work suggests there are particular opportunities in addressing the following areas:
- support and care for young, old or vulnerable people
- housing and homelessness
- community cohesion and resourcefulness
- education and skills
- environment
- poverty
Funds and benefits
ShareLab will support and incubate new collaborative platforms that create social impact. We want to work with the very best ideas and initiatives that can show how collaborative platforms and models can support public services and deliver social impact. We are offering funds of between £10,000 and £40,000 plus non-financial support to stimulate experimentation and collaboration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Anyone may submit an idea to the ShareLab Fund.
- However, to take things further you will need to be able to receive funds through a legally constituted body such as a company, charitable incorporated organisation or similar.
- Eligible are the individuals and organisations who:
- Are passionate about the opportunity that collaborative economy models can bring to public sector and social challenges.
- Have a commitment to taking part in workshops and events as part of idea development.
- Are supported by a competent team who are open to being challenged and supported to grow your idea.
