NIHCM Foundation is seeking applications to support timely health care journalism that informs efforts to improve the health of Americans and that examines emerging health issues and their implications for cost, quality, access, preparedness, or equity.

Grants provide funding for:-

Funding Level and Number of Awards

NIHCM is making a total of $1 million available for the combined 2020-2021 funding cycles for research and journalism grant programs. Funding will be allocated across the two programs according to the merits of the proposals received.

Qualified Applicants

NIHCM welcomes applications from individual journalists as well as from all types of organizations and institutions, including both non-profit and for-profit entities.

Project Duration

Projects that can be completed within one year are preferred. They will consider support for projects already underway or requiring a longer timeframe, provided applicants can describe anticipated impact and deliverables during the project year.
