The National Lottery Community Fund has announced the applications for the Small Grants Program.
Funding Information
- Their grants of £150 are here to help you and your community take part in Cook and Share Month, running from World Food Day 16th October – 16 November 2021.
Is my project eligible?
- They’re looking for food-based community projects that:

- have potential to be long term
- are community led
- include people from disadvantaged and diverse communities

- reduce experience of loneliness or social isolation
- encourage a positive attitude to ageing and diversity
- These can be virtual or take place in person. They are no longer limited to specific geographical areas so anyone in the UK can apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- They will decline any grant applications where there is no organizational or community group bank account to transfer the grant into.
- If you have previously received a small grant, you are unable to reapply. If you are successful, you will not be able to apply for another small grant in future grant rounds but partner organizations/settings that you are working with are able to apply.
- You must register your planned activity on their website when applying.
- They won’t consider any applications which involve promoting any corporate organisation, political activities or promoting any religious beliefs. They will consider projects led by religious organisations if they’re for the good of the whole community.
- They won’t consider projects that have already happened or will be finished before the grant payment can be made.
- Application activities must support their key events – Cook and Share (16 th Oct – 16th Nov 2021) and Plant and Share (TBC Spring 2022)
- The grant is open to not-for-profit groups and settings.
- If you want to have a Get Togethers activity with people from households or your neighbourhood you will need to apply for the grant through a not-for-profit group that has its own bank account.
