The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is seeking applications to support the Department of Justice’s Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative to engage the full range of criminal justice policymakers and practitioners in the development of innovative strategies to improve the justice information and criminal intelligence sharing and technology capabilities of state, local, tribal, territorial agencies, and associated disciplines.
Objectives
- The objectives of this initiative are to address and overcome the barriers to justice information and criminal intelligence sharing across agencies, disciplines, and all levels of government. This includes identifying and recommending solutions to impediments like information and criminal intelligence sharing, identity management, data integrity, and identified issues through recommendations, guidelines, policy templates, toolkits, resources, etc. as it pertains to public safety and the input from the Global membership.

- Anticipated Maximum Dollar Amount per Award: Award will be up to $500,000
Deliverables
- OJP/BJA to provide recommendations to DOJ received from Global/CICC.
- OJP/BJA will publish reports and guidance documents for the field.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- For-profit organizations, other than small businesses
- Small businesses
- Note: Applicants must possess experience in providing training and technical assistance (TTA) on a national level to state, local, Tribal, public safety, and other criminal justice entities. Applicants’ experience should be in organizing and implementing training, organizing and managing national and regional meetings, developing resources, and facilitating technical assistance engagements at all levels. It would be an additional benefit if the applicant’s experience was related to providing training in the areas of information and intelligence sharing, support for realtime crime and regional intelligence centers, and dealing with the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) and Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC). This experience would include both management and implementation experience, as well as knowledge of the collection, storage, dissemination, and purging of criminal intelligence
