NOFO: Media Literacy and Counter Disinformation Programs (Namibia)

NOFO: Media Literacy and Counter Disinformation Programs (Namibia)

Deadline: 16-Aug-2024

The U.S. Embassy Namibia, Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to focus on Media Literacy and Counter Disinformation activities.

PDS Windhoek invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the United States and Namibia through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation.  All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.

The Public Diplomacy Office welcomes proposals for the participation of U.S. citizen experts at in-person or virtual programs in support of the above program objectives. The travel costs for in-person programs in Namibia may include economy-class airfare of a U.S. flag carrier, a stipend for meals, a daily honorarium, lodging, and local transportation. Funding requests for activities involving U.S. citizen experts should include a proposed daily schedule for the expert (minimum of two program days excluding travel time).
