The Public Affairs Section (PAS) Mumbai is seeking proposals to promote environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and foster adaptability to climate change through capacity development of farming communities in India.

This project supports the U.S. Department of State’s goals of facilitating economic development and addressing global climate change by promoting sustainable agricultural practices in India through the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA), defined by the World Bank as “an integrated approach to managing landscapes — cropland, livestock, forests, and fisheries — that address the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change.”

Objectives

Project Goal: To promote environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and foster adaptability to climate change through the capacity development of farming communities in India.
