The Novo Nordisk Foundation is seeking applications for its program entitled “Social Purposes” to improve the quality of life and living facilities for vulnerable children and young people in Denmark through education, general competence development, focus on job satisfaction and other relevant efforts.
The Fund is now calling for applications for support for this purpose.
Grant Information
- Appropriations up to DKK 1 million are given for projects or other activities of 0-2 years duration, focusing on education, general competence development, development of job satisfaction and other relevant efforts for vulnerable children and young people.
- Appropriations of up to DKK 5 million are given for projects of 2-3 years duration, focusing on strengthening educational opportunities, general competence development, job satisfaction and other relevant efforts for vulnerable children and young people.
Criteria
- Support for social purposes can be sought by established organizations and institutions.
- The Fund ensures that organizations and institutions receiving support focus on the education, health and welfare of socially exposed persons, that organizations are recognized and present publicly audited accounts.
- The Fund does not award support:
- setting up and organizing theater performances, concerts, art exhibitions, film and recordings.
- salary or other support for personal education, including study trips.
- overhead, including ongoing operations and administration of institutions, institutes and organizations.
- operation and maintenance of sports clubs, youth clubs and other interest organizations.
- personal means for improving social conditions, recreational courses and courses.
- commercial purposes, sponsorship.
