The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) Global Youth Work team in association with Irish Aid is delighted to invite applications for the Seed Grants worth up to €400.
The OWW Seed Fund is an opportunity to explore an aspect of the global world, and to make local-global connections in your work.
Why should you apply?
Should your application be successful, you will;
- Receive a grant of up to €400 help you deliver a young person-centred project on their global world.
- Participate in a free training with the Youth2030 expert team helping you to explore some of the five faces of globalisation in your work; environment, economy, technology, politics and culture.
- Benefit from connections, ideas and support from the Youth 2030 team, to help you get the most out of your seed grant and bring your ideas to life!
Eligibility Criteria
Any group that works within the non-formal youth sector.
Funding Criteria
- OWW training is required as part of this funding, please register interest here, (training is free).
- One World Week will take place online and in person in 2023, a blended approach. As part of this grant, you will be expected to attend at least one event for OWW 2023.
- If you are organising a local event during One World Week in your community, please send us the date, time, and location as soon as possible so that it can be advertised on their One World Week website.
- Please ensure visibility of your local event in local media, online and through any other promotional channels available to your group. A toolkit on working with media during OWW will be provided by NYCI to grant recipients. All publicity must include the wording “This is a One World Week Project with the support of Youth 2030 at the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI)”
- Please use recycled material wherever possible for arts-based activities
- NYCI will not fund the purchase of any materials such as T-shirts, baseball caps, etc to be used in the creation of local actions for One World Week.
