The Oxford City Council is pleased to announce the Oxford Community Impact Fund (OCIF) programme.
They are looking for this grant programme to help deliver the following key interconnected priorities, in line with the Council’s Strategy:
- Support thriving communities
- Enable an inclusive economy
- Pursue a zero carbon Oxford
- Deliver more, affordable housing
Funding Information
- Total budget of Round 2: £44,000
- Not-for-profit organisations can apply for up to £5,000 per Medium Grant and £1,000 per Small Grant in 2022/23. Individuals can apply for up to £1,000 per Small Grant and cannot apply for Medium Grants.
Eligible Activities
- staff costs
- development work (testing new ways of working, staff training and development, developing governance, tech or IT upgrades/purchases, sharing learning)
- transport
- Utilities/running costs
- Volunteer expenses
- equipment
- Capital costs (They can consider funding capital costs but do not anticipate these costs will be a significant amount of the proposed budget)
Eligibility Criteria
There are four eligibility criteria that all applicants must meet. They must:
- Operate on a not-for-profit basis (or if an individual, provide wider public benefit)
- Be financially viable
- Have a track record of delivery related to the activities they seek funding for
- Deliver the funded activity in Oxford
Eligible Organization
- Registered charity
- Community interest company (CIC)
- Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
- Community benefit society
- Co-operative society (if it has a not-for-profit clause and is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority)
- Voluntary or community organisation (an organisation set up with a bank account with at least two signatories required to approve expenditure; it would ordinarily have a governing document – like a constitution – but is not a registered charity or company)
- Company limited by guarantee (if it has a not-for-profit clause or is a registered charity – it can be registered with Companies House)
- School or college
- Faith organisation e.g. a church, mosque, temple or synagogue – for community orientated activity.
