The Governance in justice Programme II announces the Call for Proposal for its Window 2.1 on “Partnered Grants of Safe, Fair-Environment and Responsive Barangays for Women or SAFER”.

In collaboration with the DILG-NBOO, selected CSO will help conduct capacity building activities, and develop and disseminate information,education and communication (IEC) materials in Quezon City and Calamba City to prevent VAWC and gender-based sexual harassment in public spaces.

Objectives

Generally, the SAFER Women Project aims to provide support to local government units, especially the barangays in addressing VAWC and GBSH in streets and public spaces through capacity building activities, and development and dissemination of information, education and communication (IEC) materials.

Specifically, it aims to update the training manual of the National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO) on “Strengthening the Capacities of Local Government Units in Handling VAW Cases” to include the new law and policies enacted and issued to protect the vulnerable groups of the society, including women from violence and sexual harassment.

Funding Information

GOJUST Grants intends to fund only one CSO or a consortium for this window. Submissions should be for activities of up to 12 months duration with a maximum total request of Php3,000,000.00.
