PNG Partnership Fund: Seeking Proposals from Papua New Guinea

The PNG Partnership Fund is seeking proposals from organisations operating in PNG for service delivery projects aligned with national development priorities.

The PNG Partnership Fund is an initiative of the Australian Government to address human and economic development challenges in Papua New Guinea. It will work with high-performing organisations and consortia to expand the reach and coverage of evidence-based development initiatives.

Objectives

Objectives for Funding Round 1 – Health Grants

The purpose of funding Round 1 Health is to support initiatives which will achieve results at scale in the health sector within PNG. The initiatives will be expected to achieve service targets and produce clearly measurable outcomes. Proposed projects will need to align with national health development policies and goals.

DFAT, through the Fund is seeking grant proposals, including from consortia that will deliver impact at scale against one or more of the following objectives:

Objectives of Funding Round 1 – Education Grants

The purpose of funding Round 1 is to support initiatives which achieve results at scale in the education sector within PNG. The initiatives will be expected to achieve service targets and produce clearly measurable outcomes. Proposed projects will need to align with national education development policies and goals.

DFAT, through the Fund, is now calling for proposals, including from consortia that will deliver impact at scale in learning at the elementary schooling level. Grants will be results-based and designed to improve key education indicators in targeted areas. Depending on the focus of the proposal, clear evidence will be required to demonstrate successful outcomes. Proposals funded under these arrangements will deliver one or more of the following results in the project area:

Level of Funding

Grants funded through the Fund are expected to be in the range AUD $3 million to AUD $10 million per year, for up to three years, to high performing organisations and/or consortia.
