The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the proposals for Public call for submission of project proposals within the project Regional Program of Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 (ReLOaD2) in the City of East Sarajevo.
The overall goal of this call is to further strengthen the partnership between civil society organizations and local self-government by building awareness of the benefits of mutual cooperation and encouraging sustainable dialogue, all with the aim of providing better services to the local community.
The specific objective of the project is to strengthen partnerships between local authorities and civil society in the Western Balkans, by spreading a successful model of transparent project financing of CSOs (LOD methodology) from local government budgets, aimed at greater civic participation and youth participation in decision-making and service delivery in local communities.
Thematic areas, such as social services for the most vulnerable, social inclusion, gender equality, environmental protection, human rights and the like are the focus of the ReLOaD2 project.

- Young
- Development of new contents that encourage healthy lifestyles and help to improve the position of young people (sports, ecological, entertainment contents for children and youth);
- Improving content that enables young people to spend quality time away from social networks and their impact on young people;
- Projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of children with disabilities;
- Projects that contribute to improving the quality of life, mental and physical health of pregnant women, mothers and young parents;
- Culture and education
- Improving the quality and accessibility of cultural content for all categories of the population;
- Projects that encourage creativity and promotion of intangible cultural heritage among young people;
- Support for children with disabilities in mastering teaching content;
- Environmental protection
- Encouraging the preservation of natural resources of the City of East Sarajevo in order to preserve the environment;
- Projects that contribute to the protection of natural areas and the creation of educational and recreational facilities for the entire population;
- Sports
- Improving the quality and availability of educational, therapeutic and sports-recreational content for children with disabilities;
- Affirmation of amateur sports.
Funding Information
- The value of the project proposals to be awarded under this call must be between the following minimum and maximum amount:
- minimum amount: 10,000.00 KM
- maximum amount: 70,000.00 KM
- One civil society organization may submit several project proposals within one or more public calls, with the maximum amount of funds that can be allocated for project implementation to one civil society organization during the total duration of the ReLOaD2 project 120,000.00 KM.
- The grant awarded under this call may finance administrative costs (human resources, travel / transport and office expenses) up to a maximum of 30% of the total budget. The amount of funds requested for the purchase of equipment and reconstruction may not exceed 30% of the total budget.
Geographical Focus
Projects must be implemented exclusively in the area of the City of East Sarajevo and for the residents of the City of East Sarajevo. In exceptional cases, it is allowed to carry out certain activities on the territory of another local government if there are objective reasons for that, which are stated in the project proposal.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participation in this public call is open, on an equal basis, to all formally registered CSOs (associations or foundations), in accordance with the applicable legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
