SCCF Capacity Development Grants of up to £100,000 for UK Registered Organisations

The Department for International Development (DFID) is offering new grants for organizations with the ability to build the capacity of small British charities working in international development.

DFID is looking for innovative, evidence-based and ambitious proposals from organizations with a track record of supporting small, grassroots organizations to achieve their ambitions.

Up to six Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) Capacity Development Grants will be awarded to organizations.

Grant Size and Duration

Grants of up to £100,000 for projects lasting up to two years will be considered by an independent review panel.

Eligibility Criteria

UK Aid Direct funds cannot be used for poverty alleviation work or awareness raising activities in the UK.

Project Countries

Applicant organizations must be UK-registered and provide capacity building support to UK-based, civil society organisations who are working in one or more of the SCCF project countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tanzania (United Republic of), Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Afghanistan, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Democratic Republic of The), Egypt (Arab Republic of), Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria, The Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela (República Bolivariana de), Yemen, Zimbabwe).
