The Scurrah Wainwright Charity is currently inviting applicants for its grant program supporting a wide range of charitable projects with an emphasis on social reform and tackling the root causes of social inequity.
Grant Size
The Trust administers investments producing a grant budget that currently varies between about £60,000 and £75,000 a year.
Eligibility Criteria
The charities and organisations based in the UK are eligible to apply.
Funding Exclusions
Charity does not fund:
- Individuals
- Large and national charitable organisation unless specifically working in the Yorkshire region and providing local control and access to the grant
- Organizations with an annual income/expenditure that exceeds £250,000 approximately.
- Animal welfare
- Buildings
- Medical research or support for individual medical conditions
- Substitution for Government funding eg in education and health
- Charities who send unsolicited general appeal letters
- Activities that have already happened
- Applicants who do not have a UK bank account into which a grant can be paid
