Deadline: 01-Jul-21
The Cheshire Community Foundation is currently accepting proposals for the Assura Community Fund to support health and wellbeing projects within a 15 mile radius of an Assura healthcare building.
Programme activities must be targeted towards improving mental and emotional health and wellbeing, gaining support for life challenges and providing increased activities and opportunities to learn new skills, to enable improved self-confidence, self-esteem and a strong sense of belonging.
This may include:
- Community social prescribing activities;
- social action/volunteering;
- Befriending;
- Giving confidence to vulnerable people to re-join social activities.
Funding Information
- Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available over one year.
Eligibility Criteria
- The programme is aimed at small to medium sized, locally based, not-for-profit UK organisations including registered charities, constituted community groups and other charitable organisations including Social Enterprises and CICs. Regional or National organisations are unlikely to be eligible – unless they have a local office, with its own management committee, governing document and bank account. The programme is not seeking to prioritise funding of a small contribution towards large scale, high-value projects, where the Assura grant is a very small part.
- The Foundation is looking for a diverse range of projects spread across the UK – but would welcome increased levels of applications from Wales, North East, East and West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber.
