The Bright Green Community Trust Fund 2020 – United Kingdom

SEARCA launches Travel Grants Program

Deadline: 18-Sep-20

The Bright Green Community Trust (BGCT) is currently inviting voluntary groups and not-for-profit enterprises in the Holme Valley to apply for one large grant or, as in previous years, a smaller one of up to £3,000.

The large grant is worth up to £10,000, which can be used to fund or part-fund a project that will make a significant impact in the Holme Valley. For example, this could be for solar panels or car/bike charging points.

The Bright Green Community Trust (BGCT), was launched to provide grant funding for projects, across the Holme Valley Parish and the Graveship of Holme. This fund has been set up by HoTTWind@Longley Ltd, a community benefit society that operates a wind turbine that supplies green electricity to Longley Farm, near Holmfirth.

The fund will ensure that the community wind turbine, whilst having obvious environmental benefits, will also provide significant benefits to local people. The BGCT Fund will be administered by One Community, the Community Foundation for Kirklees.
