The British Embassy Yerevan is currently seeking project bids under the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) Programme Fund.

Programme Themes

The Embassy is interested in supporting innovative proposals that work in any of the following themes:

Support to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) to promote open and accountable management of revenues from natural resources in Armenia as well as support an improved business climate, increased investor confidence, reduced corruption and poverty and enhanced living standards of population in resource rich Armenia: The UK is campaigning to raise citizens’ awareness on mining legislation, on companies operating in their regions, on importance of EITI, the tasks and principles of the EITI and how it contributes to increasing transparency and accountability in the mining sector.

Enhanced transparency in the mining sector: The UK Government is committed to enhancing transparency and accountability in the award of mining sector permits, licenses and contracts. The programme focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of the mining sector regulation, improving level playing field for the mining industry through better governance and corruption control systems, strengthening engagement of CSOs and communities affected by mining operations in the multi-stakeholder dialogue and enhancing relations between mining companies and their stakeholders and beneficiaries for improved social investment.
