The Community Foundation for Ireland is seeking applications for “The Women’s Fund” that aims to centre-stage this phenomenon and instigate changes in standards, behaviours and attitudes in this sphere.
Eligible Projects
- New projects that seek to highlight or reduce levels of sexual harassment in any of its multifaceted forms, including but not limited to street harassment, sexual coercion, sexually threatening behaviour, domestic violence, stalking and online sexual misconduct.
- Projects may be based in any of the many spaces (both tangible and virtual) where sexual harassment takes place, including but not limited to sports, the media, domestic spaces, workplaces and social spaces, schools and colleges and across all online and social media platforms.
- Priority will be given to innovative projects that aim to bring about social, behavioural, attitudinal and cultural change.
- Applications are welcome from all counties in the Republic of Ireland so that they can ensure a wide geographic spread of funding.

The foundation is offering grants of up to €5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant organisations should have an annual income of not more than €2,000,000. Documentary evidence may be requested.
- All applicant organisations must declare their organisation’s annual income on the online application form. Depending on their organisation’s income they must submit either their organisation’s Annual Accounts or most recent set of Audited Accounts
- Applicant organisations should have an organisational bank account or access to one. A copy of a recent bank statement must be submitted with their application. This is for account verification only and all financial transactions may be redacted before submission. Multiple applications by one organisation may not be made. If you are an informal group or organisation without formal governance structures and without its own bank account, please contact The Community Foundation for Ireland for further information.
- Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to share learning with others.
- Proposals must include clear, detailed, realistic costs and timescales.
- The foundation encourages established applicant organisations to consider adopting The Governance Code for charities.
- Applications must be from community and voluntary groups that possess charitable aims and are not for profit. If you are part of an informal organisation or you are in doubt as to whether their organisation may be eligible to apply please email at the address given on the website.
- A commitment to equal opportunities must be demonstrated.
- The fund will not cover: Core or ongoing costs (such as rent, salaries), Equipment costs, Promotion of religious causes, Work that has already taken place, Non-charitable activities, General political donations, Sponsorship or fundraising events, Work taking place outside the Republic of Ireland.
